BoxLunch

BoxLunch is a civic-minded pop culture retailer with both an online and brick + mortar presence. I presently work as BoxLunch’s Lead Copywriter—my duties include writing and editing all customer-facing copy with the assistance of my direct reports. Together we produce copy for web assets, landing pages, emails, social posts, and more for our national audience. In addition, I have become a leading voice in creative brainstorms, marketing campaigns, and diversity initiatives. See below for a sample of my work at BoxLunch.


Scripted Work

I was able to hone our brand voice through scripted material including social media content, a video series, and even a holiday gala script featuring Simu Liu and more celebrity guests.

Press Releases

Working with national and international partners, I was able to help announce exciting collaborations, collections, and events through BoxLunch press releases. These went through the approval process of not only BoxLunch’s internal team, but the teams of partners like Sanrio, Crunchyroll, Nickelodeon, Viz Media, and more.

Email Marketing

Since taking over the email marketing copy duties on April 1st, 2021, I have written copy for over 600 emails, increased the overall open rate by 423% with compelling subject lines, and set an open rate record for a single email; 75.3%, more than 50 percentage points above the record holder two years prior.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

The cornerstones of BoxLunch’s D&I initiatives are our heritage month campaigns. So far we have celebrated AAPI Heritage Month, Black History Month, Pride Month, and Latino Heritage Month. Our celebrations include landing pages, emails, social posts, and our YouTube series, BL Perspectives (see scripted work, above).
